About Us

Our Story

We were founded in 2026 by Alex Mensah and Matia Cassuto – two iGaming professionals with over 18 years of combined experience on the operator side.

Alex started his career 11 years ago in customer support, later becoming Support Team Lead and moving into affiliate management. For a decade he worked on the brand side – negotiating partnerships, managing affiliate traffic, closing deals, and monitoring performance – finishing as Head of Affiliates for one of the leading international brands. Throughout, he worked exclusively with fully licensed operators.

Matia began in customer support and quickly advanced to VIP Account Manager, then Team Lead of the VIP department (2022–2026) – building relationships with high-value players, arranging fast payouts, and upholding responsible gambling standards.

We met at an iGaming conference in Malta and decided it was time to use what we’d learned to help players directly. That’s why we created BestCasinosAfrica.com.

Why We Created This Platform

After years working for casino brands, we saw that most review sites had no real understanding of the African market. We built a platform with honest, transparent, and locally accurate information for players in Ghana, Uganda, and Tanzania.

How We Test

We don’t rely only on our own experience. We work with dedicated local testers who use each casino under real conditions – on mid-range Android phones and mobile data, exactly how most players in the region play:

• Kennedy Oni – Ghana-based tester (MTN MoMo & Telecel Cash)
• Kunle Sikango – East Africa tester, covering Uganda & Tanzania (M-Pesa, MTN & Airtel Money)

Our testers create real accounts and make real deposits using each country’s local methods – MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash and AirtelTigo in Ghana, MTN and Airtel Money in Uganda, and M-Pesa, Airtel Money and Tigo Pesa in Tanzania. They then request a withdrawal, time the payout, check mobile performance, and contact support – documenting the full experience with screenshots.
