Full transparency about how BestCasinosAfrica.com makes money, and exactly what that does and does not change about what you read here.
The short version
Some of the links on this site earn us a commission if you sign up through them. That costs you nothing and it changes no score, no ranking position and no verdict. What it does change is which brands carry a sign-up button at all, and the rest of this page explains why that distinction is the honest one.
What an affiliate link is
Some of the outbound links to casinos on this site are affiliate links. They are the gold buttons on our review pages, usually labelled with the brand name, and every one of them opens in a new tab and is marked in the page code as a sponsored link. If you click one and then register or deposit, we may earn a commission from that casino.
This comes at no extra cost to you. You pay nothing more, and it never reduces the bonus you receive or changes the terms you are offered.
What partnerships do not affect
Scores, ranking order and verdicts are set by our scoring framework alone. Every casino is judged against the same seven weighted categories, the weights are printed on every review so you can check the arithmetic, and a commercial relationship changes none of them. The clearest proof of that is on the site rather than in this paragraph. Two of the seven brands we rank have no affiliate relationship with us at all. They are scored on the same framework as the rest and they sit in the roster position their scores put them in, not below the brands that pay us. Cryptorino is one of them, reviewed in full with no sign-up link anywhere on the page.
The reverse holds too. The brands that do pay us carry our hardest findings. Our Wild.io review documents frozen accounts, voided winnings after bonus play and two different companies named as the operator on the brand’s own site. Wild.io is a commercial partner. Those findings were written before the partnership existed and have not been softened since.
What partnerships do affect
One thing, and we would rather name it than let you find it yourself: whether a brand carries a sign-up button.
We cannot link to an affiliate programme we are not part of. So a brand we have no agreement with gets reviewed, scored and ranked exactly like the others, but there is no button on the page and no way for us to earn anything from it. That is a fact about buttons rather than about rankings, and you can verify it in about a minute: open the two reviews with no CTA and check where they sit in the order.
If we ever place or rank a brand for commercial reasons rather than on its score, this page will say so before it happens, and so will the disclosure on every affected review. We would rather lose the commission than have those two things disagree.
What we promise
- We state each casino’s licence clearly, including when there is none. Two of the brands we currently rank cannot show us a gambling licence we can verify, and their scores and reviews say so.
- We test with real money on a Ghanaian phone, using the payment methods players here actually use.
- Where a withdrawal test completed, we publish the request time, the receipt time and the screenshots. Our 1xBet review documents a payout received in about ten minutes.
- Where a withdrawal test could not be completed, we say so instead of implying it succeeded. Three of the seven brands are currently in that position, and on those reviews the payout category is not scored at all rather than filled with an estimate.
- We do not hide a finding because a brand pays us. The score and the verdict tell you where we think a casino sits, and the reasons are on the page.
- We disclose this relationship openly, here, in the footer, and at the top of every review that carries a commercial link.
How we make money
Commissions fund the site. They pay our Ghana-based tester, cover hosting and tools, and pay for the deposits we lose while testing, which is a real line item rather than a figure of speech. In return every review and guide here is free to read, with no paywall and no charge to you.
Worth knowing that these programmes are less lucrative than they look from the outside. Several pay only on a revenue share, one of ours uses a session cookie that expires when you close the tab, and another deducts an administrative fee before anything reaches us. We mention it because it explains the incentive honestly: this site does not survive on any single brand, which is exactly why no single brand is worth bending a score for.
Play responsibly
Gambling involves real risk and it is entertainment rather than income. Only play with money you can afford to lose. The legal gambling age in Ghana is 18.
